LPTxn™ (Place an Order)
Topical Anesthetic Gel

More than 68 million individuals avoid regular visits to the dentist because of anxiety and fear from previously uncomfortable or painful procedures, including injections. Avoidance of regular dental care can lead to undiagnosed
cavities, gum disease and oral cancer. LPTxn™, a potent topical anesthetic agent, is one of the tools of the Comfort Centered Care System, which focuses on maximizing patient comfort and breaking the fear/avoidance cycle.

INFILTRATIONS
Apply to injection area. Wait 2 minutes. Suction then rinse.

BLOCKS
Apply to injection area. Wait 3-4 minutes. Suction then rinse. Optional for blocks: Hold in place with cotton-tipped applicator.

For best results:

  • Wait times may need to be extended due to patient variability
  • Blocks require longer wait time due to tissue anatomy
  • Prior to injection, test numbness with a probe
  • Proceed when prick sensation is minimized or eliminated
  • Patients should not swallow LPT. If swallowed, the patient may feel a slight numbing. Assure patient that the numbness will dissipate within 15 to 30 minutes.
